Introduction

A Tail's Misfortune is an ongoing Mythological Fiction web serial that takes place in the modern world. Sora, a fifteen-year-old high school student, has been viciously harassed by Kari and her pack of girls going on three years; she's tried unsuccessfully to report her bullies, which has labeled her an attention seeker. Her father works as a financial consultant for several large companies and is away from home much of the year while her mother died in childbirth.

The school year has just started for Miami Beach Senior High and unable to bear any more abuse, Sora sent a video of her being bullied to the police department, and in her school mandated psychology session, she tells Mary what she's done. This is where everything goes wrong for our down-trodden rich girl.
